Patricia Woltmann is an artist, choreographer and performer. Working with dance-based performance and video, she explores concepts related to the transformative capability of the body, memory and communication. Coming from a background of contemporary dance, Patricia holds an M.A. in Dance Studies and a Postgraduate Professional Diploma in Dance Studies from Trinity Laban, London. Prior to this she studied contemporary dance at Erika Klütz School, Hamburg.
Her performance d r i v e was presented at Museo de Chopo, Mexico City in 2014, following her residency at SOMA Summer in Mexico City (2013). Her video works molecule no1., animal enfermizo, top spin and cats were presented in Germany, Italy, Sweden, Greece, Mexico and Brazil. Patty also co-curated bodied spaces, a performance and video art event at Art Claims Impulse Gallery, Berlin in 2013. As a performer she collaborated with artists such as Rachel Gomme, Megan Flanigan, La Ribot, Nancy Banfi and Ami Garmon. Since 2010 she established the collective patty&britty with the dance artist Britta Pudelko, developing the ongoing video and performance series, molecules.
